So it has been tough to keep up with this blog. so here is a quick round up of the last few weeks.
We stayed in Sacramento for two weeks and in that time we spent Christmas in Bodega Bay. This coastal town was the back drop for the movie The Birds. And this place is truly for the birds. Waking up seeing the sun reflect off the bay and what seemed to be a million birds still waking from the nights past. The sky lit in a beautiful rose color and the smell of salt in the air made for a perfect Christmas morning.
As we said our farewells to Charlie we headed in to San Francisco, where we would have a hell of a time trying to park our truck and trailer. but after some swift driving we managed to get parked and made our way into china town. Walking the streets and smelling the air proved to be quite an experience. We saw many things of beauty from the colorful works of art to the lush colors of produce stands. Behind every window and every door china town has much to offer. So as our stomach's began to growl we found our selves in the basement of a quaint little restaurant. Seated next to the live sea food tanks we watched the last living moments of what would soon become a meal for two. Belly's full and time on the meter running low it was now time to say goodbye.
Next on our stop was Big Sir. Truly a mind blowing drive. 45mph. tall cliffs to our left and ocean to our right. This ever so winding road is quite a drive. if you pay close attn. to the ocean you can catch a glimpse of a migrating whales. We saw Two, how cool. at one of our stops we saw about two hundred elephant seals resting in the sand burping and farting this was cool. So that night we found a place to park off the side of the road and stayed there for the night.
We then found ourselves at Pismo Beach. For 10$ a night you can camp right on the beach. we stayed here for 6 days. And in that six days I caught no fish and not from the lack of trying. but we did have a really good time.
Now we are in Thousand Oaks CA. Staying with Ron and Ann. and seems we brought some bad weather with us. so stay tuned there will be more to come.

Well so far the trip has been good we made it to the redwoods on our our first day of driveing.
Wow what a drive. We had plan to stay in the redwoods for longer then the two days we did stay but
the rain would not let up. The first night we stayed in the del norte national park. This was a nice area
but mores so a drive thru spot. On the 2nd. Night we stayed at the Burlington campground in Weott, Ca.
Located right in the middle of the avenue of the giants ( old HWW 101 ) this is a must see. Nestled in the
middle of the humbolt national park this area of forest is one of the oldest groths in the world. We took a hike
and saw a 700 yr old fallen redwood that was well over 300 ft. Long. Popeye and roadie are haveing A great
time. Olive our cat came along to and she is a great road cat. She runs arond with the dogs and dose not seem
to want to run off. We have alot of pics. to post so check back we haven't got to much web acess. Right now we
are currently in sacramento staying with our friend Charlie from Orlando, Fl. From here we plan to go to san Fran.
